Frequently Asked Questions

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice. “Rei” means universal, and “ki” means life force energy—the vital energy that flows through all living things.
As a Reiki practitioner, I have been attuned to channel this energy and act as a conduit, allowing it to flow through me to support your body’s natural ability to self-heal and restore balance. Gentle hand placements on or just above the body help encourage the release of energetic blockages.
Reiki is non-invasive, fully clothed, and deeply calming, supporting your nervous system to settle and regulate.

An open mind is encouraged — but firm belief isn't a requirement. Reiki works with your body's intelligence, not your convictions. That said, arriving with genuine curiosity does help you get the most from a session.

Yes. Reiki is gentle, non-invasive, and supportive. It works alongside any medical or therapeutic care you may already be receiving. If you have any specific health concerns, feel free to mention them in your intake form before your session so that I can best support you.

Something comfortable and cozy, as you'll be resting on a massage table for your session, fully clothed. There's no need to bring anything special; I’ll provide blankets, pillows, and other items to support your overall comfort.
-
Please do! It means your nervous system feels safe — and that's a win. Your body will receive the Reiki energy whether you're awake or not. Some of the most powerful shifts happen during those quiet, drifting moments.

I work with adults 18 and over, and primarily with women. I ask that clients arrive with genuine openness — Reiki is co-creative work, and both of us bring something to the session.

For general ongoing support, monthly sessions work well for most people. If you're navigating something significant — a major life transition, heightened stress, or a period of active healing — bi-weekly sessions may feel more supportive. Over time, most clients naturally settle into a rhythm that works for them.

If mobility is a concern (my space involves stairs), please reach out — we can explore options such as distance Reiki or a mobile session where I come to you.

Lionel is my friendly, hypoallergenic cat. If you'd prefer a cat-free environment, just let me know when you book and I'll make sure he's elsewhere for your visit. Your comfort in the space is my top priority.
